Skillet Licorice at Ruhstaller Farm RiverTunes Jamboree Squaredance - with Rowan McCallister and calling by Robin Fischer!

Saturday, June 11 @ 6:00PMSat, Jun 11 @ 6:00PM

Ruhstaller Farm, 6686 Sievers Road, Dixon

Skillet Licorice will be unleashing some high-octane, low-protein, high-cholesterol, three-fingered old-timey madness at this wonderful jamming-oriented festival in beautiful Dixon, CA. From Ruhstaller's website:

WHAT; A 3 & 1/2 day Music JAM campout at Northern California’s premiere “Beer Farm” just outside of the town of Dixon. Ruhstaller is a working farm that grows their own hops, then brews, and pours a wide variety of beers…all on their 47-acre spread. Free-range sheep, chickens, live roots, folk & world music, and dogs with their well-behaved humans, are all welcome! You heard right – responsible dog owners bring their dogs to the Hop Farm. Tent camp under the shade of the 35-acre walnut orchard, or lodge in a vehicle camper. Any vehicle camping will accompany a small additional fee. There is limited space and it’s 1st come/1st served. Space for large motorhomes is extremely limited. Thank you for your understanding. You may also reserve a local Airbnb or motel, stay with local family/friends, etc,… There are three towns within 10 miles of the farm. Dixon, Davis, and Vacaville. Of course, if you’re a local, you may elect to go home each evening.

WANT TO COME A DAY EARLY? You may choose to come Friday afternoon a day early. There will be an additional $25. fee and any vehicle fee if you are not tent camping in our orchard. Come get settled in, enjoy a cold brew and the Friday night show. After the concert find a Jamboreé buddy to jam with by the fire pit.

WHERE; 6686 Sievers Rd. Dixon, CA 95620 (right off I-80 between Dixon & Davis). The Brewery is open to the public during its regular hours and we’ll have plenty of designated areas for Jamming!

HOW; Schedule – Morning sessions will be held for some instruction. Sessions may include instruction on the art of jamming and playing well with others, in addition to the ukulele, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and/or percussion instruction. There will be community drumming, fun yoga / Qi Gong movement sessions, vocal wake-ups, and a Morning Choir. Afternoons will include facilitated jams in different styles, plus songwriter circles and sing-alongs. Throw-together workshops are encouraged. Evenings will include concerts and, of course, more jamming by the fire pit or any of the many campsites spread out in the orchard or around the farm. Spontaneity, looseness, a whole bunch of great jams, and tons of fun are what we’re after.

FOOD – Breakfast – you have a choice to opt-in on a wonderful All You Can Eat, Breakfast Buffet at EATWELL ORGANIC FARM – 2 miles down the road. Our friend Lorraine Walker will offer freshly laid eggs, homemade biscuits, fresh tomatoes, fruit, and yogurt – all grown and prepared on the premises. Coffee and or tea. No meat, but dairy and eggs. Enjoy your meal there or get it to go. $15.00 Venmo-ed in advance.

FOOD- Lunch & Dinner -There will be delicious on-site home-style Mexican food by a family with great well-kept recipes.

FOOD – BYOF – Of course, you may want to bring food and beverages of your choice from home, as well.

There are flush toilets & drinking water, but no showers. We think 2 days w/out a shower is doable for most folks. 😉

Of course, if you’re a local, you may elect to go home each evening, or reserve a local Airbnb or motel, stay with local family/friends, etc,…There are three towns within 10 miles of the farm.

There are other details we’re working out for you.

WHO; YOU and your family & friends and our Jam Facilitators, including some of our RiverTunes Faculty Family; Joe Craven, Hattie Craven and a wonderful list of musician jammer educators TBA!

WHY; Because we love connecting people like YOU to music-making opportunities and meeting new like-minded music pals!

COST; $150. per person. If you can pay a little more, it will help bring in some folks who write to us requesting a little financial assistance. Thank You! Your $150. donation insures a campsite and to help us cover our expenses.

Cancellation Policy; You may cancel for any reason. If you cancel before March 14th, we’ll refund all but $25 of your payment, or all but $75 if you cancel after March 14th.

Please note we will be JAMmin’ Rain or Shine!

NOTE; SPACE IS LIMITED. Do not wait to register as we may likely meet our limit sooner than our first Jamboreé.

Write to us, at rivertunescamp@gmail.com if you’ve any immediate questions. You may also call 707-678-1351. Thank you and bless you and yours in good health.

COVID – We request an honor system negative COVID test from each attendee within 48 hrs. of camp. Let’s all help keep each other safe, provide some peace of mind… and have a great time!
